What a blast! Our 35-Year Reunion on August 23, 2008, was a wonderful event and it was great to see everyone. Sweetwater Landing was the perfect place for our gathering and they took great care of us. We were scheduled to have a ranger there (a real one!) for security, but discovered at the end of the evening that no one came to do that – guess they knew we could take care of ourselves! There were lots of memories and connections made and also a lot of photo sharing – proud parents and grandparents too! We invite all those who had cameras (and there were a lot of you!) to send your photos to 1973lhsrangers@gmail.com and we’ll load them to the website. We enjoyed the trips down memory lane, although the trip seems much shorter in our minds than some markers indicate… We did spend some time touring around Lakewood on Sunday. Both Gus and I were amazed at the changes as well as the things that were still the same.

…a quick note to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the time and effort you put into Saturday night’s Big Event. It was not wasted! I had such a fabulous time seeing and chatting to people from a very happy 35-plus years ago, many of which I never anticipated encountering ever again. And from what I observed, all of the participants felt exactly the same as me…How about a reunion weekend next time?!…..thank you for an event I’m still fizzing over. It was so worth crossing an ocean for!
